Spelling Update!

We wrapped up unit 9 of spelling this week! In this unit, our first graders discovered homophones! These are words that sound the same, but have different spellings and meanings.

The kids were introduced to Little E. Little E sometimes is sleepy and silent at the end of a word. Other times, Little E is bossy but still silent at the end of a word. When E is bossy, it makes the short vowel in the front of the word say its name.
