I have gotten a few questions about our Holiday Party and whether or not we will have a gift exchange (thanks for being so on top of things!). The students will not be doing a present exchange this year. I have a present I will give them earlier in the day and then we will celebrate at the party. I would prefer not to have a gift exchange so that we don’t put any families in uncomfortable financial stress during this holiday time. PLUS, the first graders really enjoy their special day already and don’t need any extras beyond the FUN party. So please do not worry about getting a gift to exchange.
If your student complains, just blame it on me! 🙂
It’s official! Resurrection Life Church has provided us with a snow day for our Holiday Program. If we have a snow day on Thursday, December 10, our Holiday Program will be canceled. The program will then be held on Thursday, December 17 at 7 pm.
This contingency plan has been developed to ensure that the projected winter storm MISS our area and allow our program to go on as planned. However, if the storm does hit our area, our music teachers and students know that all their rehearsal time will still be rewarded the following week. As theatre veteran Noël Coward once said, “THE SHOW MUST GO ON!”
Our third hunt of the year is designed to introduce silly things teachers do! Your job is to hunt through all the blogs and find a silly teacher for each of these grades:

For those of you who have never participated, the rules are simple:
Our class is scheduled to visit the Holiday Shop (located in the Library) on TUESDAY, December 8, from 11:20 to 11:55 pm. A shopping planner came home soon to help you and your little shopper prepare for their visit.
This event is planned, prepared and staffed by the Georgetown PTC. We thank them for their generosity with their time and talents.
